Parents should come to the hospital as soon as possible if: 1. the newborn baby is easily frightened, easily jerked up and frequently stretched; 2. the baby is excessively quiet or cries all day long, rarely moves or has difficulty feeding; 3. the baby’s head is constantly tilted back after the full term and cannot stand up; 5. the baby’s head cannot stand up at the age of 3 months or cannot smile; 6. the baby’s hand is clenched in a fist at 4 months or the thumb is tucked in; 7. the baby cannot reach out to grasp objects at 5 months and cannot support itself with the forearm; 8. the baby cannot pronounce “dad” or “mom” at 6 months; 10. the baby cannot sit alone at 8 months, cannot crawl at 10 months and cannot walk at 1.5 years. 8. 6 meses, quando estão de pé, os dedos dos pés caem no chão; 9. 7 meses, não podem dizer “pai” ou “mãe”; 10. 8 meses, não podem sentar-se sozinhos; 10 meses, não podem gatinhar; 1,5 anos, não podem andar. Se os pais encontrarem alguma das anomalias acima referidas, devem levar o seu bebé a um neurologista pediátrico ou a uma unidade de reabilitação pediátrica o mais depressa possível.
